| There are many volunteer opportunities at the National Canal Museum and Hugh Moore Park. MAILINGS - Stuff envelopes and affix mailing labels for the newsletter, fundraising, education and other mailings. EDUCATION PROGRAMS - Assist with Immersion Days, Symposium, canal boat operations, Family Day, Locktender's House tours, Gingerbread Festival and changing exhibits. ARCHIVES - Help sort and catalog photographs, slides and artifacts. NATIONAL CANAL MUSEUM - Assist with interpreting the exhibits to school groups and general visitors. CANAL BOAT STORE - Help with sales and rentals (especially in May and September). PARK MAINTENANCE - Assist the park rangers in maintenance of the park and its facilities or participate in canal restoration during Muddigger's Day. |
